Today was my first adventure with DeepLens. It successfully recognized my two dogs! It also thought I was a cat, so there is that.
A wasted significant time setting up the streaming to a browser and wanted to share how I eventually got around the problem. I seem to have missed the step during the setup phase to download the certificate needed for streaming. Starting details can be found here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/deeplens/latest/dg/deeplens-viewing-device-output-in-browser.html
Instead of restarting the entire setup process again, I wanted to see if I could find the certificate on the DeepLens device. The good news is that it can be transferred via scp. Here is the basic pattern:
-- from your laptop
ssh aws_cam@192.168.0.35
-- from the deeplens device
sudo cp /opt/awscam/awsmedia/certs/client.pfx /home/aws_cam
sudo chown aws_cam /home/aws_cam/client.pfx
exit
-- from your laptop
scp aws_cam@192.168.0.35:/home/aws_cam/client.pfx .
